About Ilse
I care about what happens after the code is generated. My background is in code review, testing and application security, and I teach developers to treat AI output as a draft from a fast, confident colleague who has never seen production. We practise reading diffs carefully, writing tests before asking for code, refactoring old systems in safe steps and spotting the security mistakes that generated code repeats. I teach with real looking examples full of small, plausible bugs, because that is what you will actually meet. I am calm and methodical, and I would rather you ship a little slower than ship something you do not understand.

What students said about Ilse's tutors.
- Ingrid L.Sample
Learned to delete useless comments and write why comments instead. Short and practical.
- Ayumi S.Sample
Following one feature end to end in my first week made the rest of the codebase click. My team lead noticed how quickly I got going.
- Priscilla A.Sample
We added security requirements to our instruction file and a secret scanner in CI after this. Practical and not alarmist.
- Kemal D.Sample
Our README finally has working commands. The 'run every command in the draft' rule found three wrong ones.
- Alicia N.Sample
Writing the tests myself and letting the assistant implement has made me trust AI code far more. The overfitting examples were eye opening.
- Callum J.Sample
The 'where in the code does it say that?' habit kept me from trusting a few wrong summaries. Good for juniors.
