AI for Finance Teams: Commentary, Forecasts, Board Packs
Draft variance commentary, forecast narratives and board summaries faster, with figures you control
A taste of a lesson
Can I paste our P&L into AI and ask it to write the commentary?
First check it's an approved tool, since unpublished results are sensitive. Even then, AI can see that marketing is over budget but can't know why. Talk to the budget holders, write three bullet points per major variance (what, why, timing or permanent) and ask the AI to turn those into commentary. Then check every figure and the direction of each variance. Which variance this month do you understand least so far?
Written by the teacher as an example. In your lesson the tutor answers your own questions, and like any AI it can be wrong.
