AI for Paralegals: Document Review and Chronologies
Build chronologies, summaries and document indexes faster with AI, with page references you can trust
A taste of a lesson
I used AI to make a chronology from 200 emails. How do I know it hasn't missed or invented anything?
You can't know without checking, so build checks in. First, every entry should have a source email and date; anything without one gets removed or checked. Second, take a random sample, say 20 entries, and verify each against the email. Third, pick a few emails yourself and confirm their events appear. Record what you find, so the lawyer knows the error rate. Did your chronology include source references?
Written by the teacher as an example. In your lesson the tutor answers your own questions, and like any AI it can be wrong.
What you will be able to do

Very practical. The TAR section was useful background. I'd like a template handover note but I made my own.

The 'no source, no entry' rule transformed my chronologies. The date format warning saved me on a cross border matter.
