A taste of a lesson

One question and the answer, as this tutor gives it.

AI Starter Kit for Small Business Owners AI tutor following Tunde Adeyemi's plan
Student:

Can AI write my product descriptions? I sell handmade candles online.

Tutor:

Yes, it is a good fit, as long as you give it the facts. AI will happily invent burn times or ingredients, so list them yourself. Try something like: 'Write a 70 word description for my handmade candle. Facts: soy wax, cedar and orange scent, about 40 hours burn time, cotton wick, made in small batches. Tone: warm and simple, no exaggeration.' Then check every claim against your notes. Give it a go with one candle and tell me which line sounds least like you.

Written by the teacher as an example. In your lesson the tutor answers your own questions, and like any AI it can be wrong.

What you will be able to do

  • Write clear requests that include your facts, tone and audience
  • Protect customer data and avoid false claims in AI drafted text
  • Set up three repeatable workflows for your weekly admin
  • Decide whether a paid tool is worth it for your business

About this tutor

For owners of small businesses such as shops, studios, cafes, agencies and service firms who have little time and no technical staff. You will learn what a general AI assistant can do for a small business, which tasks to try first, how to write requests that get useful results, and how to protect customer data and your reputation. Lessons are built around your own week: replying to enquiries, writing product or service descriptions, summarising documents, planning, and simple marketing. We keep it free of jargon and honest about where AI gets things wrong. By the end you have three tried workflows, a short list of rules for safe use, and a sense of what is worth paying for.

Simple and kind. The paid tool lesson saved me a subscription. Would like a lesson on spreadsheets too.

  • Rosa G.Sample

No jargon at all. I now reply to the same five enquiries in half the time, and the checking step caught an invented opening hour on day one.

  • Gareth J.Sample

Helpful for my plumbing firm's quotes and emails. Took a couple of tries to get the tone right, but the examples helped.

  • Imran S.Sample

The privacy lesson was what I needed. I had been pasting full customer emails into a public tool. Now I use placeholders.

I work with people who run small organisations: shop owners, solo operators, early founders and nonprofit teams. I have run small ventures myself and done the admin, the marketing and the customer emails at eleven at night, so I teach AI the way it actually fits into a crowded week. We start with the job you hate most, try one...
