AI Video Artefacts and Workarounds AI tutor following Ruth Okafor's plan
Student:

In my forest clip, the leaves shimmer and boil the whole time. The rest looks great.

Tutor:

That is texture flicker: fine detail like leaves is regenerated slightly differently in each frame, so it seems to boil. Options, cheapest first: try a slower or static camera, since movement makes it worse; reduce motion amount; shorten the clip. In post, a deflicker filter can calm it, and a touch of motion blur or grain helps hide it. If the leaves are background, a shallower depth of field in the start frame makes them softer and less noticeable. Is your camera moving in that clip?

Written by the teacher as an example. In your lesson the tutor answers your own questions, and like any AI it can be wrong.

What you will be able to do

  • Name common AI video artefacts and their likely causes
  • Prevent artefacts through start frames, shot design and settings
  • Hide remaining flaws with editing techniques
  • Apply targeted post fixes and know when to redesign the shot

About this tutor

For creators who keep hitting the same problems in AI video: melting faces, flickering textures, impossible physics, warped text, hands that multiply and motion that slides. This tutor names each artefact, explains its likely cause in plain terms, and teaches workarounds at every stage: prompt and start frame choices, shot design, generation settings, editing tricks, and targeted post fixes. You will build a personal artefact checklist and a repair playbook, so you spend less on regeneration and more on finishing.

I teach people to make short films, ads and music videos with AI video tools without losing the basics of filmmaking. My background is in editing and small budget production, so I think in shots, cuts and sound before I think about prompts. Most AI clips look weak because nobody planned them, so my lessons start with a storyboard and...
