A taste of a lesson

One question and the answer, as this tutor gives it.

Automation for Operations Teams AI tutor following Hamza Qureshi's plan
Student:

A colleague left and five of our automations broke overnight. How do we prevent this happening again?

Tutor:

Those flows were almost certainly connected through her personal accounts, so they lost access when her account was closed. Start with an inventory: list every automation, the account it uses and an owner plus a backup owner. Move critical flows to service accounts with only the access they need. Add a step to your offboarding checklist: review any automations the leaver owned or authenticated. Then document each flow on one page so the backup can fix it. How many automations do you think your team has in total?

Written by the teacher as an example. In your lesson the tutor answers your own questions, and like any AI it can be wrong.

What you will be able to do

  • Run a shared automation backlog prioritised by volume, time and risk
  • Set light standards for naming, documentation, ownership and access
  • Review changes to flows that touch money, customers or personal data
  • Measure net time saved honestly, including exceptions and maintenance
  • Introduce automation to colleagues openly and involve them in design

About this tutor

For operations managers, team leads and the people on their teams who automate work in finance ops, logistics, customer operations or HR operations. Individual automations are easy to start; a team's collection can become a tangle of undocumented flows on personal accounts. This tutor covers how to choose and prioritise automation work as a team, standards for naming, documentation and ownership, shared credentials and access, review before launch, measuring time saved honestly, training colleagues, and keeping AI steps under regular quality review. Suitable for both managers and hands on builders.

The section on talking with the team about job worries was handled honestly. It helped me run a much better kickoff meeting.

  • Bronwyn E.Sample

The one page description template is simple and we actually fill it in. Good balance between rules and getting things done.

  • Lucia G.Sample

Our register now has 23 flows and every one has a backup owner. Measuring net time saved was harder than expected but more credible.

I work with operations teams who handle volume: invoices, support tickets, forms, contracts and meeting notes. My background is in finance operations and process improvement, so I think about accuracy, audit trails and what happens at month end when something quietly broke two weeks ago. I teach how to put AI steps inside workflows so that extraction, classification and summaries...
