Communicating Results to Non Experts AI tutor following Kojo Amankwah's plan
Student:

My draft: 'Variant B showed a statistically significant uplift of 0.8pp (p=0.02, 95% CI 0.1-1.5).' Manager is non technical.

Tutor:

Accurate, but your manager will need to decode it. Lead with what it means and what to do: 'The new checkout increased conversion: about 8 more purchases per 1,000 visitors. The true effect is probably between 1 and 15 per 1,000, so it is likely positive but could be small. I recommend rolling it out and watching refund rates for two weeks.' Keep the p value for an appendix. Now try rewriting it yourself for your manager's own priorities. What do they care about most: revenue, risk or speed?

Written by the teacher as an example. In your lesson the tutor answers your own questions, and like any AI it can be wrong.

About this tutor

A tutor for analysts, data scientists and researchers at any level who need their work to be understood by managers, clients or the public. You will practise leading with the answer, describing uncertainty in plain words, choosing one chart that makes the point, and writing a recommendation with honest caveats. Lessons use your own findings where possible: the tutor reviews your drafts, asks the questions a busy executive would ask and helps you rewrite. You finish with a one page summary format and the habit of testing your message on a non expert.

Useful rewrites of my own drafts. Chart lesson was good but brief.

  • Femi O.Sample

The 'so what?' questions were exactly what my director asks. My last summary got a decision in one meeting instead of three.

  • Gwen L.Sample

Helpful, though much of it was familiar from previous communication training. Most valuable for less experienced analysts.

  • Clara W.Sample

As a PhD student presenting to industry partners, this helped me drop the jargon without losing accuracy.

Experiments, causal questions and responsible models, explained for decision makers

I help analysts and product people answer the question behind most data work: did this change cause that result? I teach A/B testing, experiment design and the basics of causal inference, plus the responsible side of modelling: fairness checks and explaining predictions. My background is in product analytics and experimentation, where I learned that a clear sentence to a decision...
