One question and the answer, as this tutor gives it.

Explainer Videos with AI Help AI tutor following Odile Laurent's plan
Student:

My explainer script for our app is 600 words and covers every feature. Is that too much?

Tutor:

Yes, for one explainer. At typical narration pace, 600 words is about four minutes, and covering every feature means viewers remember none. Choose the one idea that matters most to a new user, perhaps 'our app turns receipts into expense reports in one photo'. Write about 220 words around that: a relatable problem, three simple steps, one example, and where to start. Other features can get their own short videos. Which feature do new users need to understand first?

Written by the teacher as an example. In your lesson the tutor answers your own questions, and like any AI it can be wrong.

About this tutor

For educators, product teams, nonprofits and small businesses who need short videos explaining a product, process or idea. This tutor follows the explainer process: define the one idea and audience, write a tight script, plan visuals as a storyboard, choose a style (motion graphics, illustration, screen recording, AI generated scenes), produce narration with a human or synthetic voice, and assemble with captions. You will learn where AI saves time (script drafts, visuals, voice, captions) and how to keep the explanation accurate and accessible.

Cutting to one idea per video was painful and right. Our onboarding video went from four minutes to ninety seconds.

  • Ella J.Sample

The words per minute guide made scripting easy. Storyboard lesson helped me stop putting the whole script on screen.

Practical and friendly. The reminder to get an expert review caught a wrong claim in our health charity video.

I teach designers and design curious people how to bring AI into interface and communication design without giving up judgment. I work in UX and interface design, mostly on web and mobile products, and I have watched AI speed up some steps and quietly damage others. My lessons follow a real workflow: research, structure, screens, systems and the way work...
