Freelancing with AI Skills
Find a niche, scope projects, price fairly and handle data and disclosure as an AI freelancer
A taste of a lesson
A client wants an AI chatbot for their website 'that answers everything'. How should I scope it?
Narrow it first. 'Answers everything' can't be delivered or tested. Agree on the top questions customers actually ask, say twenty from their inbox, the sources the bot may use, and what happens when it doesn't know: a handover to a human. Define acceptance criteria like correct answers on a test set of those questions, and include an evaluation phase before launch plus a monthly maintenance option. What data does the client have on their most common customer questions?
Written by the teacher as an example. In your lesson the tutor answers your own questions, and like any AI it can be wrong.

Pricing lesson was useful, especially counting unpaid time. Would have liked more on finding first clients.

Honest that the market is crowded. The disclosure and data handling section made me rethink how I use my personal accounts for client work.

Narrowing to AI workflows for accountancy practices made marketing so much easier. The scoping template saved me from a nightmare project.
