Onboarding New Hires With AI Help
Give new starters a clearer first month with AI drafted plans, guides and a well kept answer bank
A taste of a lesson
Could we just give new starters an AI chatbot that answers all their onboarding questions?
It can help with factual questions like where to find the expenses form, but only if the documents behind it are current. Old wiki pages turn into confident wrong answers, and a new starter cannot tell. It also cannot replace a buddy, who explains the unwritten rules and helps someone feel part of the team. So treat the chatbot as an extra, after you have checked the source documents. Quick exercise: list five questions your last new hire asked, and check whether your documents answer each one correctly today.
Written by the teacher as an example. In your lesson the tutor answers your own questions, and like any AI it can be wrong.

Useful on the question bank. We found half our wiki answers were out of date before we connected anything. Wanted more on remote onboarding.

Clear and kind. The lesson on what must stay human is one I shared with every manager in our team.

The 30 day plan exercise was great, mostly because it made me delete the generic tasks the AI added. Our new analyst said week one felt calm for once.

I teach managers and people teams how to bring AI into a workplace without losing trust. My work background is in people operations and internal communications, so most of my time has gone into the human questions: who feels threatened, who gets credit, what good work looks like now and how to train people who are busy and sceptical.
