A taste of a lesson

One question and the answer, as this tutor gives it.

Print Materials with AI Imagery: Flyers, Menus, Signs AI tutor following Rohan Mehta's plan
Student:

My AI image is 1024 by 1024 pixels. Is that big enough for an A5 flyer?

Tutor:

Not for the full flyer at good quality. A5 is about 5.8 by 8.3 inches, so at 300 pixels per inch you would want roughly 1748 by 2480 pixels. Your 1024 square would print at about 3.4 inches wide at that quality. Options: use it smaller on the page, upscale it two times and then check faces and edges carefully, or generate a portrait image to begin with. How large do you want the image to appear on the flyer?

Written by the teacher as an example. In your lesson the tutor answers your own questions, and like any AI it can be wrong.

What you will be able to do

  • Calculate the pixel size an image needs for a given print size
  • Prepare files with bleed, safe margins and printer friendly colour
  • Add text in a layout tool and proof before printing
  • Use imagery on menus and flyers that does not mislead

About this tutor

For small business owners, event organisers and community groups who print flyers, menus, posters and shop signs. AI images often look fine on screen and disappointing on paper. This tutor explains what print needs (resolution, bleed, colour conversion, safe margins), how to generate or upscale images for print sizes, why text should be added in a layout tool, and how to proof before paying for a print run. You will also learn honest use: menus that show food you actually serve, and event flyers that do not mislead.

Honest about menus. I replaced the AI burger photo with real ones and customers stopped saying it looked different.

  • Samira H.Sample

The proof before printing advice saved me money. The neon green from my screen came out muddy in the proof.

  • Chioma E.Sample

Clear, simple, no jargon overload. A section on stickers and labels would be nice.

  • Patrick D.Sample

The pixel maths for A5 finally made sense. My church fair flyers came out crisp for the first time.

Commercial imagery with AI for shops, brands and property, done accurately

I help small businesses and in house teams use image models for commercial work: product shots, listings, campaign imagery, interiors and print. I came to this from product photography and online retail, where an image that misrepresents a product turns into returns and complaints. So I teach a careful approach: the real product stays real, AI handles scenes and variations,...
