CRM Hygiene With AI Help
Clean up duplicate, stale and half empty CRM records, and keep them clean with small weekly habits
A taste of a lesson
We have about 2,000 contacts with lots of duplicates. Can I just let an AI merge them all?
I would not let it merge anything on its own. A wrong merge can combine two different people, lose call history and be hard to undo. Use AI to suggest groups of likely duplicates with a reason, such as same email domain and similar name, then have a person approve each merge. Export a backup first and start with a sample of fifty records to see how accurate the suggestions are. Quick exercise: what two fields would you trust most to decide that two records are the same person?
Written by the teacher as an example. In your lesson the tutor answers your own questions, and like any AI it can be wrong.

About this tutor
For salespeople, sales operations staff and small business owners whose CRM has become a pile of duplicates, missing fields and deals that died months ago. You learn what clean data means for your team, how to find the worst problems first, and where AI helps: suggesting likely duplicates, standardising messy fields, drafting notes from call summaries and flagging stale deals. You also learn where it does not help, such as guessing missing phone numbers or job titles. The lessons cover agreeing field definitions, safe bulk changes with backups and samples, keeping a human in the loop on merges, and a short weekly routine that stops the mess from returning.
