Customer Support for Small Shops With AI
Answer customer messages faster with saved replies, AI drafts and a simple FAQ
A taste of a lesson
A customer is furious their order is late and wants a refund. Can AI just reply?
AI can draft, but you decide. Paste their message, your delivery and refund policy, and the order's tracking status, and ask for a calm, short reply that apologises, states the facts and offers the options your policy allows. Then check it: is the dispatch date right, and are you comfortable with what it offers? A refund or exception is your call, not the tool's. Remove anything that sounds defensive. Before you draft: what does your policy actually say about late deliveries?
Written by the teacher as an example. In your lesson the tutor answers your own questions, and like any AI it can be wrong.

About this tutor
For owners and small teams at independent shops, online stores and service businesses who answer customer messages themselves across email, chat and social. You will sort your common questions, write a clear set of saved replies, use AI to draft personalised responses you check before sending, and decide whether a simple FAQ assistant on your site is worth it. You learn where AI helps (drafting, summarising long threads, translating), where it must not act alone (refunds, complaints, anything legal or health related), and how to keep customer data safe. You finish with a support playbook: categories, saved replies, an escalation rule and a weekly review habit.

Clear and kind teaching. The angry customer practice helped me stop writing defensive replies.

Talked me out of a chatbot for now, with good reasons. The policies before replies lesson was obvious in hindsight but I had never written ours down properly.

I sell plants online and spent my evenings on messages. Tagging a month of emails showed 60 percent were about delivery, so I fixed the product page info first. The saved replies made the rest fast.

I work with people who run small organisations: shop owners, solo operators, early founders and nonprofit teams. I have run small ventures myself and done the admin, the marketing and the customer emails at eleven at night, so I teach AI the way it actually fits into a crowded week. We start with the job you hate most, try one...
