A taste of a lesson
I am learning Italian, about A2 level. I want to practise but it keeps using words I do not know.
Set the level explicitly at the start: 'You are my Italian conversation partner. I am around A2. Use simple present and past tenses and everyday vocabulary. Keep replies to two or three short sentences. If I make a mistake, repeat my sentence correctly, then continue.' If a new word appears, ask for its meaning in Italian with an example. Try a role play: you are buying train tickets in Florence. How would you start the conversation in Italian?
