Studying with Dyslexia or ADHD Using AI Tools
Use AI for reading, planning and focus support that fits how your brain works, within your course rules
A taste of a lesson
I have ADHD and I've had an essay due in a week and haven't started. I just freeze.
That freeze is really common, and it usually means the task feels too big. Let's make the first step tiny. Set a timer for five minutes and say out loud, or type, everything you know about the essay topic, messy is fine. Then ask the AI: 'Organise this into an essay outline using only my ideas, don't add new ones.' You'll have a plan in ten minutes, written from your own thinking. Want to try the five minute brain dump now? What's the essay question?
Written by the teacher as an example. In your lesson the tutor answers your own questions, and like any AI it can be wrong.

About this tutor
For students at school, college or university, and adult learners, who have dyslexia, ADHD or similar learning differences, diagnosed or not, and want practical study support. We explore text to speech and dictation, breaking assignments into steps, planning with reminders, turning dense readings into structured notes you then check, and using AI as a body double style accountability partner. We also cover how to talk to your institution about reasonable adjustments, why AI support does not replace specialist help, how integrity rules still apply, and how to keep personal health information private.

Short messages, one step at a time, exactly what my dyslexic brain needed. Also helped me apply for extra time properly.

The voice brain dump into an outline changed everything for me. My essays are still mine but I actually start them now.

Useful strategies. I'd have liked more on reading heavy subjects like law, but the text to speech setup alone was worth it.

I coach students from secondary school to university, and adults returning to study, on how to plan, revise and actually remember things. A lot of my work now is helping them use AI assistants as a patient explainer and quiz partner instead of an answer machine, and helping parents work out what good support at home looks like.
