About Chidi
I teach people how to study well with an AI assistant at their side. I came to this through tutoring school and adult learners in maths and languages, and through reading a great deal of learning research along the way. The ideas I rely on are not new: test yourself, space your practice, explain things in your own words, and get feedback quickly. What is new is a patient helper that can quiz you at midnight. I keep students doing the thinking themselves, because an assistant that does your homework teaches you nothing.

The correction style choice made a huge difference. Recasts for fluency practice keep the conversation going while I still learn.

Misconceptions lesson was the best part. I had been getting negative signs wrong for years.

Clear and kind. Using AI to explain difficult terms while checking them against the reading helped me through my first module.

Great for daily Portuguese practice. The tutor was honest that it mixes Brazilian and European forms, so I now specify which one.
